Corrosion is one of the biggest threats facing older Japanese vehicles. Our rust prevention and underside preservation service is designed to identify corrosion early, treat vulnerable areas and protect the underside of your vehicle for the years ahead.
UNDERSIDE PRESERVATION
PRESERVATION STARTS FROM THE GROUND UP.
A clean and protected underside is about more than appearance. Dirt, moisture, salt and failing protective coatings can hide corrosion and allow problems to develop unnoticed.
We inspect each vehicle individually before recommending a treatment plan. The condition, age, construction and existing coatings of the vehicle all influence how we approach the work.
Our goal is simple: understand the condition of the vehicle, address what needs attention and protect what can be preserved.
All prices are starting prices. Final pricing depends on the size, condition, construction and requirements of the vehicle. Every vehicle is assessed individually before work begins.

We use Bilt Hamber products as part of our corrosion prevention and underside preservation process. Their range allows us to use different products for different applications rather than relying on a single coating for the entire underside.

Many Japanese cars now considered modern classics were never designed with the expectation that they would still be on British roads decades later. Age, moisture, road salt and previous repairs can all contribute to corrosion. We take the age and character of each vehicle into consideration and aim to preserve as much original material and finish as possible while providing meaningful protection for the future.
WHAT WE CAN AND CANNOT DO
PRESERVATION, NOT A COVER UP.
Rust prevention should never be used to hide structural corrosion. If we find significant corrosion, damaged metal or areas requiring structural repair, we will explain what we’ve found before proceeding. Our rust prevention service is designed to clean, prepare, treat and protect suitable areas. Structural corrosion requiring welding or fabrication is a separate repair process and will be assessed accordingly.
DOCUMENTATION
KNOW WHAT’S BEEN DONE.
Every vehicle tells a story. We believe owners should be able to see the condition of their vehicle and understand exactly what work has been carried out. Where appropriate, we photograph the underside before, during and after treatment, giving the customer a clear visual record of the work.

Some vehicles require a straightforward preventative treatment. Others need considerably more preparation before protection can begin. We offer bespoke treatment plans based on the individual vehicle rather than forcing every car into the same package.
